Steve Bray – better known as the 'Stop Brexit' man – has been standing up for the truth outside parliament for half a decade.
His persistent protest – refusing to give up on opposing Brexit, loudly and right on MPs' doorstep - has been a thorn in the Brexit Tories' side.
So much so in fact that when they passed a new protest law, there was a whole section in it aimed just at stopping Steve.
Now the day has come. On the first day this new law came into force, Steve Bray was the very first person targeted. Police seized Steve's amplification equipment, followed him around all day with a team of officers, and even threatened him with arrest.
But Steve has said that he will not be silenced – and that goes for our whole movement. As he says, "We don't have to agree with each other... but we have a basic human right, the right to protest."
Democratic countries do not try to silence protesters. Protesting against Brexit is not a crime. The only crimes being committed in Parliament Square are the ones being committed inside parliament.
Today, we are all Steve Bray.

Support the National Rejoin March
The best answer to the government's attempts to restrict anti-Brexit protest is to make the first national Rejoin demonstration as big as we can.
Groups from all over the country will be converging on London, ending in a rally in none other than... Parliament Square! And who knows, we hope there may even be a special guest speaker...
